I have an abundance of the 15cm Irwin style quick clamps, but none any larger.
So naturally clamping up anything wider than 15cm can be a li’l tricky. I know there are heaps of home made clamp designs out there, and they are on my to do list, but damn, that’s a long list…
So shopping at Bunnings I picked up a couple of 60cm Irwin F claps for $60. Then I saw Trojan F clamps, two would cost me $40 so I switched to them. Trojan is entry level but I’ve some of their smaller clamps so I know they are decent enough.

But then just as I was about to pay I found this box hiding in a corner! 12 different clamps in there, including 4 long ones with quick releases, all for $49. Grabbed it straight away and put the others back.

The small squeeze clamps are probably more cute than anything else, but for what I want to use them for (cutting boards, small cabinet frames) the bigger ones really suit my purposes. I like them so much I’ll probably be heading back today to pick up another box of them.
Only $49, go check them out.
