Make some Christmas Tree Decorations for your Christmas Tree!
I wanted to enter the Christmas Ornament Turning Challenge that Carl Jacobson and Alan Stratton were hosting this month. My intention was to turn something during a morning and then edit the video in the evening, and have it all online the first day of the competition. The reality was that I couldn’t even start until after the comp ended 4 weeks later! Working 7 day weeks makes it tough to get stuff done!
Oh well never mind, my lathe is packed away anyway so I wouldn’t have been able to get a project done on it. Instead when I finally got some free time I came up with the idea of cranking out a bunch of these little Christmas Trees. They are fun and pretty easy to make, you simply rip some wood, glue it up, and then slice out your trees. I attached mine to a gold chain and wrapped it around my actual Christmas Tree. I also made another bunch which the kids painted and decorated themselves, they had a great time doing so.
